Picking Up Your Student Recognition
We always accommodate parents who need to pick up their children during the school day for appointments. At the end of the day, however, we have only one secretary in the office. If you arrive at school a few minutes early to pick up your student, it would be a great help to us if you were able to wait for your child rather than ask to have him or her called out of class. This occurs at the same time we are making sure that students have received changes to their after school plans that parents have phoned in. Teachers are also readying the children to go home. Your assistance in this is greatly appreciated!
Each year our 8th grade students complete a Healthy Teens survey. Last year’s 8th grade class received recognition for having the lowest reported drug and alcohol use in Lincoln County, along with students at Isaac Newton. Our school received a plaque from the Safe and Drug Free Schools coalition. Congratulations to parents as well as students and teachers in helping our Waldport students stay safe and drug free.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU goes to Daniel Dillon, one of our Special Education Assistants. He wrote a grant which got a dishwasher for the Lifeskills Classroom. Way to go, Mr. Dillon!
A GYM USE REMINDER: We love to have school teams use the gym for league sports! Please remember that no food or drinks beyond water are allowed in the gym. THANK YOU!
