Lincoln City schools were locked down last Thursday, May 7th, due to a threat of harm. Lincoln County School District sent a letter home with students describing our response and where police are at in the investigation.
We want to assure you that we are working closely with our law enforcement partners. We will continue to take all threats seriously.

Taft Elementary's 6th grade students are going to Outdoor School May 26th-29th!
This is an opportunity for families with children of all ages to learn about services, resources, classes and events that take place in the summer for youth. Happy 50th Birthday, Lincoln City!
Each grade level at Taft Elementary recently designed a puzzle piece. Each puzzle piece somehow represents the number 50. Every grade came up with a fun, unique idea! When put together, the puzzle pieces made this giant 50. Way to go, everyone!
You are invited to attend seven school readiness workshops for families of children ages 4-8.

Thank you to everyone who sold items during our March fundraiser! Taft Elementary students raised almost $5,000! The money earned will benefit our p.e. program and classrooms.
All students had a Spring portrait taken on Thursday, April 2nd. A proof and order form was sent home with each student.

During the 2014-2015 school year, Taft Elementary students will be dismissed at 2:00 every Wednesday to allow time for staff development.
Kindergarten Wednesday Schedule
AM K will start at their regular time and dismiss 30 minutes early at 10:30.
PM K will begin 30 minutes early at 11:15 and dismiss at 2:00.
