Art students from across Lincoln County School District recently participated in a hands-on art day at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Local artists provided demonstrations and students had the opportunity to learn new techniques and explore different art forms.
In this photo, local artist Duncan Berry demonstrates gyotaku, a traditional Japanese art form dating back to the 1800s that uses ink and rice paper to create prints of fish, originally developed to record fishermen’s catches.
We are grateful for the strong community partnerships that make learning experiences like this possible!
