Congratulations to Taft 7–12 STEAM teacher Laura Blair and her two qualifying teams who are hoping to compete in the 2026 World KidWind Challenge.
Seven Taft 7–12 students earned 1st and 2nd place at the Oregon Coast Renewable Energy Contest held in March at Hatfield Marine Science Center, qualifying them to advance to the world competition in Madison, Wisconsin this May.
The teams now need to raise $3,000 in the next two weeks to make the trip possible. If you are able to help, please scan the QR code on the flyer, select Taft High School, then choose STEM-ACTIVITIES-MS-DSC 07 to donate. You can also go to the LCSD website to make a donation to the science teams.
