LCSD Title VI - Indian Education Teacher on Special Assignment Dr. Tiffany Stuart-Whiterock is helping share local stories and inspire students through her new book, Siletz Tribal Athletes.

The book features profiles of more than 24 Siletz athletes, based on interviews she conducted during the pandemic, and was created to inspire tribal youth through stories of perseverance and achievement.

Through a grant she secured, copies of Siletz Tribal Athletes have been placed in every Lincoln County School District library. Dr. Stuart-Whiterock recently visited several school libraries to read excerpts from the book and share these stories with students.
