Lincoln County School District is pleased to announce several administrative appointments for the 2026-27 school year.
Sara Kennedy has been named principal of Waldport Middle/High School. Kennedy joins LCSD from Innovation Spokane Schools, where she served as superintendent. She brings 20 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, and superintendent.
Throughout her career, Kennedy has focused on supporting student success, empowering educators, and building positive school communities where students and staff can thrive. She and her husband, Christian, intentionally chose Waldport as their new home, fulfilling a longtime dream of living on the Oregon Coast.
"I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a great school," Kennedy said. "I am incredibly excited to join the Waldport community and look forward to partnering with students, families, staff, and community members to help every student thrive."
Ashley Freschi will serve as the principal for Oceanlake Elementary School. Freschi has worked for LCSD for 10 years and most recently as assistant principal at Oceanlake.
Norma Thompson has been named assistant principal at Taft 7-12. Thompson has been a teacher at the district since 2022.
